Boris' head is gone. Ranting and almost shouting now.

To top that off, Lindsay Hoyle offering Matt Hancock outside.

I don't know who has advised Boris on his new tack/approach to this, but it's absolutely bombing.

His very aggressive responses to Starmer's usual calm and forensic questioning just make him look even worse than before.

Seems to be making promises about track and trace which are most likely going to be broken. They may have hired people but the training isn't going well. Best not mention the mobile app either.

Taking a hectoring approach and not answering questions isn't a great look either.

I count at least three commitments:

200,000 daily tests by May 31st
Track & Trace
NHS pay rises to a 'proper' level

The braying, pantomime Tories aren't doing him any favours either. But that's their strategy I spose.

Indeed - I think you hit the nail on the head there.

It's similar to the whole Trump thing, but worse owing to our electoral system.

Based on the 2019 GE result, and a 2016 statistic of 45.17m eligible voters, the Tories only need to appeal to 30% of the entire electorate, and an even smaller percentage of those who watch PMQs.

Keep them onside with their braying idiocy, and they're golden.

Depends on what he means by 'proper level' is that their previous view, or their current 'whilst it suits' view?

A starting pay for nurses just above the immigration threshold.

No increases for longer-serving, more experienced and higher-earning staff.

That's what they'll do.

And they'll get the daily mail to take a picture of BlueBadger's luxury yacht.

And on the plus side it's easy to see where the money's coming from. For every ex-army Fijian who needs treatment, that's an extra £27k in the pot. Thanks for your service, sir. Kerching.

It's all they've known since their private school days sadly.

I watched it and thought Boris handled it poorly, but seems that a lot of pundits are saying hie put up a better fight. Strange. I suppose there wasn't a killer blow from Starmer, but he still more than showed that the government weren't on top of things.

Not really.

I would vote Labour if they have a capable leader and sound policies.

I was very critical of Corbyn, but I do think that its healthy for the country to have a strong opposition.

The FTPA isn't worth the paper it's written on. Totally useless piece of legislation.

Recent years would suggest that.

I do think its healthy for Govt's to actually be given time to implement their policies (whether I agree with them or not).

The recent short terms have not been a good thing.

I do think this govt's term will get closer to 5 years than previous govts.

Boris won't last the full term. He's made too many promises to too many people and he wouldn't want to be accountable for that or for the fallout of Covid.
