End of lockdown 14:54 - May 22 with 1108 viewsblueislander

As from May 30th schools will be back to normal. Hairdressers, beauticians and other retailers open, and bars and restaurants open with certain restrictions. Well done Guernsey. Still virtually impossible to get on and off the island though.

Zero cases there now? That would be good.

And so long as no one ever gets on or off then you can do as you like.

Sounds good to me.

Lucky you. We will be in lockdown for a while yet on the mainland. Enjoy.

Absolutely f-caked. There is some hope for the bars and restaurants, but not hotels as such. There are no passenger sailings until September, and Aurigny have also cancelled all flights till the end of August.

I saw an article in the paper talking about the need to extend the airport runway

I can see some sense in that as long as they leave Bruce Russell alone!!

Good stuff. That's when you lift a lockdown.
