Boris making a mess of it on 16:55 - May 27 by BrixtonBlue
I don't see it quite as cynically as that. I said when Boris first became PM, and I have first hand knowledge of this, is that he is very good at surrounding himself with good people*, in order to hide his own shortcomings.
Dominic Cummings, whatever you think of him, is very good as an advisor. Boris needs him. Without him he'd be up sh!i creek without a paddle.
*When I say good I mean good at their jobs. Not good as in ethically good!
Mike Ashton and now Dominic Cummings!

Classic Dom has shown he's good at hoodwinking people but I'm not sure how that translates into advising the PM on making sound strategic decisions. The handling of Covid-19 suggests Classic Dom is actually piss poor as an adviser.
They get away with it time and time again though.
To clarify, when I say good I don't mean good for the rest of us.

IF Cummings was to resign how far do you expect him to actually distance himself from BJ? It’s not as if he in a post that requires him to be elected is it? I would say he would not stray from the nest to far and not for too long.
I doubt we'd hear from him again, although he may well be in the background somewhere.

"Dominic Cummings, whatever you think of him, is very good as an advisor. Boris needs him. Without him he'd be up sh!i creek without a paddle."
He's a good campaigner - mainly by being deliberately misleading and being up against sh1te opposition in 2016 and last year - but there's far less evidence he is much good as a political adviser. Cummings certainly doesn't come close to matching his own high regard for himself.
As I've said elsewhere, they're getting away with it. That's what I mean. He's been able to fool a huge amount of people. TWTD is full of more savvy people but that's not the case in the rest of the country.

"Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."
This is even more baffling as a Evans decision To give PL a 5 year deal. Surely it should have been straight forward: Cummings should have resigned. When he refused, he should have been sacked.

that was uncalled for, you brute!
I'm just playin'! I'm sure he doesn't still think he'll be a good PM.

Weird of you to drag up a post from nearly a year ago, but what have I actually said wrong there?
I said he might be good, I didn't say he would. I also said he surrounds himself with a team that makes him look good. That has worked massively.
He didn't fool me, because I spelled this all out. He won a huge majority and still remains massively popular despite all the nonsense the rest of us can see. That, as far as he's concerned, is a huge success.

So what's your point Spruce?
Oh Dolly, chill out. I'm just yanking your chain. I'm sorry if I upset you. I'll edit it if it offends you so.

It doesn't even make sense. I haven't been fooled - I spelled out exactly how it would work.
I've edited it. I'm very, very sorry.

I'm not upset, just defending myself. Rather than running away from your comments, why not answer my points?
Saying you're removing it to spare my feelings makes me look bad and avoids you answering the points. It's a pathetic cop out, basically. And quite clever. Have you thought about a career in politics?

I'm sure this must have been mentioned before, but BoJo is blinking just like Ben Swain (The thick of it) when he's under pressure - and Jeremy Hunt is no Jeremy Paxman!
I think you will find that Boris blinks when he is lying, so that is 15 - 20 times a minute.

Very good as an advisor? What? You think this is going swimmingly for them?
What he’s very good at is bending the law and manipulating people. He’s a shoite advisor, as proven by how badly they’re handling everything at the moment.

Cummings is a wrecker. He’s out of his depth with this stuff which is why they have led a (badly run) PR campaign instead of the cohesive response that’s needed.
It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Up until his Durham jaunt, yes it has been going swimmingly.
Even after that he's still in his job and Boris is asking us to move on.
