Redundancy confirmed 18:47 - May 28 with 5215 viewsPendejo

I have had the email and follow up call to confirm redundancy wef 31st July, ultimately a covid accelerated one, but was expected as our parent company gradually moved us from arms length separate entity to wholly absorbed subsidiary.

My role was a specialised one dealing with a select group of high "touch", high profile clients*, presumably they have retained the clients, even if not much is going on for now... So possibility of redeployment.
*we provided over 1,300 services for the Donald when he last visited, were due to provide services for Euros this summer, Wimbledon etc.

The straw that broke the camels back appears to be the biggest client is not going to resume our contract until 2021, they were worth 40% of the company revenue.

So what now? How many millions of others will be joining me for the scramble for jobs?

When my father and uncle pass away the plan is to get a small holding near Medallin... But that is expected to be a few years yet, what to do inbetween?I

I'll be with you Pendejo, I'm set for redundancy end of September with the NHS having purchased the hospital I work at. Undecided what to do once redundant, may well give Away Days a go full-time or join you being an influencer.

Very sorry to hear of your redundancy, sad times indeed. Try to look on the bright side of things hopefully as one door is closed another will open, have confidence in your own ability and you will soon be reemployed, if that is what you wish. I am sure there is thousands up and down the country that will suffer the same fate. Keep positive .

Sorry to hear that fella.

Hopefully your experience will see another firm make you an offer and, if not, maybe time will allow you to go it alone, although of course I appreciate the climate atm is as far from suitable as it could possibly be for that to happen anytime soon.

Good luck on YouTube. I don't know how it works but maybe give J2 a shout, as he's a massive fan of online influencers.

Hopefully once the football is back underway you'll be able to push a full-on campaign with the beer that will be so successful you'll hardly be able to leave the shed for quite some time!

Sorry to hear your news. Try and stay positive and good luck with your job search. My old man always said, if you want to work, you will find work. Different difficult times, but sure you will find something. Good luck.

Cheers Jeera. I like to think everything happens for a reason and it's exciting in a way...the downside is "comfort" aka having that guaranteed monthly income from a job. Selling beer full time to football fans would be amazing though, I'm currently preparing BundesLager and UnBEERlievable Jeff...along with Pint'Er SchmeichALE.

What rotten bloody luck. I hope you can get something sorted out.

You need to just post some videos on Youtube of a cat falling off stuff to make money.

How about you talking about your experiences in the personal transportation industry, and in particular making stuff up about trumpy?

'I provided over 1,300 special services for Donald Trump' should get you a good few hits. And bring in lots of sponsorship from bleach companies.

Good luck, I hope it turns out to be a good thing in the long run.

There does seem to be a smidgeon more happening on the jobs front in the last couple of weeks, I've been looking and applying for stuff like crazy since end of March after my tourist based business sunk.

First day back at work yesterday, looking likely I'll be doing parcel deliveries for the world's richest man, hardly my dream job but needs must at the moment.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Sorry about the news, but in these situations I always think you should view it as a door opening rather than a door closing.

Sorry to hear that mate, but you're a bright lad, something will come along even better soon enough.

Good luck.
