it was a sunny day , but kelverdon bypass was shut due flooding on the sunday when i returned from leeds castle after seeing van morrison in concert there.

yep was a glorious sunny day. Got there for opening, and as you say, absolutely brilliant few hours before the main event even began. I love the globe pre Wembley games, fantastic for England as well. |  | | |

Yep. That was the day I discovered you could buy/drink cans on a train at 9am, never knew that before.
Was there for opening, sea of blue all around despite Barnsley fans coming into Euston. Never understood that - though was way more red than blue at the Green Man at Wembley - were I ended up before the match.

We took over Swiss Cottage. Played football with a beachball and had to keep stopping the traffic to retrieve it. Had a couple of Barnsley fans join us as they liked the atmosphere. |  | | |

I remember walking out of the tube station at Baker Street and on the way up the stairs all you could hear was the wall of noise from the town fans outside and in the pub, really was one of those moments to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end |  |
