Yep, I was critical last week but he’s the first person, either politician or scientist, to have the balls to state the obvious at these conferences.

Nice to see at least one person not treating us all like complete imbeciles.

Fantasticly, his middle name is Claude.

He absolutely loves the limelight that one. Expect to see him on ‘strictly’ in the near future.

Most of there others have the air of someone up in front of the headmaster.

But all that could do is that he will go on BBC or ITV and tell us exactly what has been said in the SAGE meetings and what political influence Dominic Cummings may have pushed on the scientist's decisions.

We already know what political influence Cummings attempted at SAGE meetings from the Guardian report.

He pushed for an earlier lockdown but SAGE disagreed and didn’t bow to his pressure. And the release of the SAGE minutes yesterday explains why they took that view.

As he mentioned today that he is a Boston United season ticket holder it will be interesting to know his views of Steve Evans.

Interesting considering the belief from many now is we should have locked down sooner. Not that I support Cummings even being in post, let alone trying to influence SAGE meetings.

That set of minutes demonstrates why the lockdown should have been sooner.

Cummings may not be a nice individual, and have views and campaigning methods that are disagreeable, doesn’t mean they can’t be correct.

What was known, was there was an exponentially rising outbreak, causing Italy to start locking down in February.

The COVID infection rate in the UK was not fully understood.

The capacity for the NHS to cope was unknown.
