Nobody paying any attention to the 2m social distancing rules at all.

Definitely evidence of the ‘Duffield effect’. Shameful.

Three+ hours to drive back from the shops? No wonder you've been so desperate to defend Dominic Cummings.

You do realise you've included yourself there as a rule-breaker, don't you?

Actually, you probably don't.

Our local COOP was fine today. But we’ve had people on the beaches, actually camped out sunbathing. That’s the first day I’ve seen it although I skipped my walk yesterday.

Now everyone is used to it, it has become a social norm, you just move your trolley around and wait if you want the same thing as someone else.

I would say people come within 2 metres a few times to be honest, as the aisles aren't wide enough to prevent that, but not nearer than 1 metre and not for any length of time, and that's more crucial.

I was at the beach today and an ice cream van pulled up. Everybody queued in an orderly fashion 2m apart.

Yes, Sunday trading laws. Open 10am till 4pm mostly.

It’s annoying sometimes.

I steer clear of supermarkets on a Sunday (even before all the rona business) due to them being rammed all day thanks to the reduced hours.

Depends on size of store:

Large supermarkets, on a Sunday, are limited to 6 hours, so near us some go for 10-4, others 11-5

The Tesco / Sainsbury mini-markets tend to be earlier opening and later closing

Our local co-op was 8-10 but during lock down was closing at 8pm

Yep, anything larger than 3,000 sq ft can only open for 6 hours, and no later than 18:00.
