This constant criticism of our leaders is a tad tedious 16:48 - Jun 2 with 1406 viewsvapour_trail

However...

Why the fck have they got mps queueing outside parliament to get into vote, one by one, when they could do it electronically. What an absolute shower of sht. What an embarrassment.

An absolute farce when we have the tech to vote remotely during this period of social distancing.

I'm guessing that his Difference Engine has run out of coal.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Hard to see this being coincidental with this government:

Apparently Cardinal mogg can't find a precedent from the Tudor period to justify electronic voting, and he refuses to accept anything that as happened since as the product of the evil Reformation.

Yes, they've actually managed to take something that was seen as visionary and break it.

I'm not surprised about them breaking it, but more about them setting up the digital system effectively in the first place and it being lauded as good practice. Presumably the government were nowhere near that stage of it. Dunno.

Does it? I thought they still have to adhere to 2m social distancing in the chamber, so it will still be restricted to about 50 members in there at any one time?

I'm very happy for as many tory MPs as possible to be confined in as small a space as possible for as long as possible.

According to him it's "disrespectful to Parliament" to vote electronically.

This from someone last seen smirking whilst having a lie down along the green benches while another MP was speaking during the course of a debate

Of course they disbanded it. They were at risk of looking vaguely competent about something - they couldn’t have that.

1 It is only tiring once you have become tired of democracy.

2 This is also an issue of discrimination. Those elected representatives who are not healthy enough to be present (self-isolating for whatever reason) are now silenced at the voting box. Whilst that will actually make little difference thanks to Johnson's big majority, there is a principle that should not be overlooked.
