Guardian number one singles on 19:04 - Jun 3 by GeoffSentence | My word, I have just looked at the first lot on display. Dead Or Alive at number 5? I am definitely not in tune with whomever came up with this as I had that down as one of the 5hittest tunes of the 80s. In other news I am clearly becoming an old fart since I have never heard of Lil Nas X. |
Lil Nas X - Old Town Road was the song that featured Billy Ray Cyrus last year - not sure it should be that high up though.

Guardian number one singles on 15:25 - Jun 3 by WeWereZombies | No, it is already on the list but way down the pecking order. Laurie Anderson's 'Oh Superman' hasn't featured yet though. |
Apologies hit the wrong arrow.

Perhaps that’s what is battling the specials for the top spot?

ghost town is no. 2, which is only one place from where it should've been! good shout on pet shop boys, i'd guess it's that against don't look back in anger for the top spot... i'd go psb, but the manchester arena link, might see oasis nick it

Whilst waiting for the #1 to appear tomorrow I can highly recommend the PSB Hyde Park performance available on iplayer if you haven't seen it.

I think West End Girls is an OK shout although I was 16 when it was released so it strikes a certain chord.

Guardian number one singles on 14:19 - Jun 5 with 621 views | Herbivore | That list is a mess. Think the authors have a massive hard on/wide on for the 80s as it seems heavily skewed to that era. Personally I make the 80s a weak decade in the history of modern music. Pet Shop Boys at number 1 is mental. Their music is dreary AF. The Flight of the Concords pastiche of them is far more enjoyable than anything they ever produced.
