Chambers and Skuse have played most of their career in the second tier. They're both fading now and will hopefully be phased over into non-playing roles over the next year or two, but it's still a huge stretch to argue they are more hopeless than Edwards, who has had one season playing above the third tier and looked out of his depth.

What do you make of Flynn Downes out of interest? We finished in the top half of the table 4 years out of 5 with Skuse and Chambers as regular. Then Downes comes into the side regularly and we finish bottom and then 11th in League 1. If we're blaming individual players the evidence seems to back up that Flynn, along with the likes of Nolan, Jackson, Edwards etc. are the problem here rather than two players who were mainstays in a top half Championship side.
Or maybe blaming individual players for a collective failure is a bit silly?

I'm not a fan of their happy retirement time with us when they pick up their wages for their PR stuff and waffling same old crap in the interviews. I'm an Ipswich fan and want every single player to play for the shirt.
Moreover we had NEVER beaten Norwich with them two in the team.
I had also been told last year that their experience would be vital for us in League One. We have finished 11th. Tell me their contribution has been invaluable then last season.

As for Downes that level of football last season was too big for him but the question where were the senior players to help him and lower league signings out? They had downed the tools and that includes more than 'certain' two.

Like Herbi, there's so much wrong here one wouldn't know where to start.
I'll just say one thing though - the idea that no-one questions Chambers suggests you've never read TWTD before.

Of course it’s relevant, him going on to be a regular in Europe whilst we have sunk to the kind of depths not seen in decades rather suggests he may not have been the problem...well it does unless you view everything through a prism of extreme hatred to a certain M.McCarthy and any of the players that he signed and/or featured regularly under him of course
