More detailed look at covid19 by post code 18:12 - Jun 12 with 2798 viewsPendejo

Just found this which I'd not seen before in this form.

4 deaths in my post code area with a 25 death cluster a mile or so to west, next biggest cluster is 17 a mile or so to the north

Do you live in a fairly densely populated area?

8 in Ely, which isn’t the biggest of places. Mostly all in April too

Crikey 18 in the Bottisham/Lode area

Only 3 in my area and none in another local area.

There are quite a few big care homes aren’t there out your way?

Ah of course hadn't thought of that, care homes will skew the figures somewhat I guess.

Not helped by Addenbrookes releasing 132 patients into care homes without a Covid19 Test

I live in Inner London on an estate that is made up of more than a dozen 4 story blocks (built in 1930s) of mainly council tenants, though the post code incorporates a large area of private housing.

The areas nearby with large covid numbers have converted 19th / 20th century houses and relatively new built blocks of flats (21st century) all being private housing with ridiculous rents, so probably more densely populated as they strive to afford crippling rents.

Just wondered, given the numbers you mentioned I assumed it was rural.

10 in my post code area in Cheshire, which has a rough population of 6,500.

That's almost 154 people per 100,000.... which is worrying. Far from a deprived area but probably 6 or 7 care homes in an area approx 2km sq.

I was surprised at how low our immediate area was given density of housing, but also that very nearby is one of the biggest clusters in South London.

As far as I can see only Brent / Barnet has worse clusters. Though I've not domestically looked as deep into it as I did with % of deaths being covid.

10 in my suburban / rural corner of East Ipswich. But there are care homes, and I suspect that accounts for most.

14 in my Ipswich postcode but that does include castle hill retirement home. Just the 1 in my surrey postcode.
