It's bad, buh. The amount of aggro mother and her colleagues have received is mind boggling. I understand that people aren't happy, but why they can't understand that a) it's a global pandemic and their boating holiday on the Fens isn't really that important right now and b) a company employee doesn't know everything is bizarre. Respect don't cost nuffink.
Although Mother did make one very angry man apologise for his awful conduct last week, which was amusing. As ever, a complete tit on email but soft as sh1t when confronted on the phone.

….mine were officially cancelled a month ago and they are still responding to every communication with the same email/text saying that I can rebook if I want.
The beardy knobber.
I used the SMS link, they eventually respond, like having a conversation with hours between each comment. Transferred Miami flights to next year switched from economy to upper and, for the outward journey, only paid an extra £50 which is less than the extra APT duty.*
Mind you deal was finalized at 3am.
*Tickets show it is a special rate so you can guarantee if any one has to be down graded as seats over sold it is going to be us.

I've got a cottage booked from months ago in this country. Not heard a peep via air bnb so I assume he has been gambling on announcements coming before the summer.
Will be nice to get away, but rubbish if I am stuck in a pokey old farm cottage with nothing to do for a week.
Know what you mean about nothing else being open spoiling it, but right now I'd take anything! Sick of London - think this is the longest I've ever stayed put here and makes me realise how lucky I've been in the past in being able to hop about a bit.
Not surprised to hear other posters say its all getting booked up.
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa
The today program mentioned that a chunk of landlords fell that even with a 1m distance rule after a few bevvies it will all go to pot.
Also they felt at risk of getting sued if someone caught (or potentially) C19 at their pub.
Hard to distance in a pub.
We're glamping this year. May try somewhere hot, Oman, later in the year. Luckily can't fly for 6 months.....good timing.
Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me.
Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing.
Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial.
Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid.
Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.
Gyms can stay closed forever. I am NOT missing listening to Gym Bores in real life AND social media banging on about their workouts. You exercise, we get it.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Might be just me being a grumpy sod, but that didn’t read well to me; seemed very stuck up.
The entire country have had to adapt in these unprecedented times, many losing their jobs. The way this article read, seemed as though they’re sticking their noses up at making any kind of adaption to their norm.
I got a takeaway pint from the Maybush over the weekend and sat and had it ok the bank overlooking the boats, I had to order my pint in one queue, then wait in another for it to be served and when it was served, it was in a large coffee cup.
I know I have a simple mind, but having a proper draught pint made my day. There were several others doing the exact same and I’m sure this is helping the pub massively. They have a window for hot food takeaway, a window for beers; making the most out of a sh!t situation.

The 'meeting of different households' bit has put a smile on my face.
Sounds like it's essentially back to normal re hanging out with friends, girlfriends etc.
Yup, essentially back to normal, against the Scientific advise.
I enjoyed listening to Johnson wriggle out of Stammer's question about if Whitty and his fellow experts agreed with these changes.
I don't want to p1ss on everyone's chips, I'm as excited as the next bloke about the prospect of being able to do things that we haven't for months, but I am dubious.

I am totally confused about the "families are allowed indoors but have to stay one metre apart" - so it's still not being able to hug my parents - and mine are over 70 and my Dad is meant to be shielding? I will also not be returning to the pub - be like going to the job centre with screens and unable to enjoy yourself as it used to be. I can;t even get an appointment at my doctors to be seen in person, but people can go on holiday. Just feel like life is passing me by.
