got a new andriod phone about 9 months ago and was just running through my settings. lo and behold under google services was covid 19 exposure notifications. i never downloaded it so google must have installed without telling me.
you have to have the battery drainer , bluetooth on for it to work.
as anyone seen this on their phone ?

It does nothing unless there is a contact app installed.

Yes they did. It was in the release notes for the operating system update and all over the press.

It's not their fault you didn't read it. Perhaps next time they will send you a carrier pigeon to ensure you're aware.
