Adele is a great singer, her songs are very over rated.
I'm not that into coldplay these days, but I saw them live at Wembley Arena in 2002 (ish) and they were brilliant. Sometimes bands come across better live than on TV. |  |

Some of their songs are anthems, but Chris Martin isn't the strongest of vocalists. For me, he's like marmite, you either like him or not, there's no grey area and that generally impacts on your verdict of Coldplay. | |

Chemical Brothers on TV last night was from early 2000's.
They should have shown last years appearance as that had better sound, on-stage graphics, later music etc. - better everything really.

I suspect it has more to do with whether you are interested in the act.... and a bit of 'you had to be there' . In a bored moment I scanned through the highlights/headliners and thought the whole lot were pretty unimpressive.... maybe some middle-aged tossers introducing a vast venue into a tv screen isnt the best way to appreciate a self-indulgent festival that has morphed into a commercial rip off over time?

Metallica were never any good if loud thrashy metal and much sweaty head shaking are or were not your thing.... which was the original misguided premise that Mr Martin is not everyone's cup of herbal tea - but his popularity suggests some like him.
I know common sense isnt your thing....but surely even you can understand that music is a personal thing - and Glastonbury seems a bit hideous now, compared to what it used to be 'back in the day'.
Take it from me - the Isle of Wight and our very own Woodstock at Weeley were proper festivals for proper festival goers..... definite info. | |
