As amusing and effective as these adverts are, it important for Democrats to remember that they're still being put out there by Republicans.
The people behind the ads still want to control women's bodies, they still want unregulated gun ownership, they still want massive tax breaks for corporations and billionaires, they still want a Healthcare system that punishes the poor, they still want to roll back environmental regulations, they still want Christianity to have far too much say on matters of state, they still want to stuff the courts with conservative judges, and they still want to persue hyper aggressive foreign policies.
They just want to go about it the old fashioned way, which is quietly with a fig leaf of respectability.
So for now while the enemy of my enemy is my friend, as soon as Trump is out of the picture they'll start training their slick well funded campaign weapons at Democrats again. They aren't Democratic friends, despite their usefulness right now. [Post edited 11 Aug 2020 23:54]

Yeah that's probably true in most cases, although it depends if the Republicans still continue in a Trump-esque manner after he's gone.
Trump's massive corporate tax cuts have ballooned the deficit. The corp tax rate of 35% was too high, but bringing it down to 21% was economically illiterate - business profits would have to be 1/3 higher for it not to create a blackhole, which obviously hasn't happened. Shows that it's not about trickle down or keeping a balanced budget, it's just about looking after Trump's mates. |  |

True but the Nazi-sympathising, disregard for facts and his covid response just bring too much attention to the normal business of the Republican party of perpetuating racial inequality, ignoring evidence about gun ownership and a whole host of social and economic issues, and generally playing fast and loose with overall healthcare.
