Some indoor spectators and outdoor theatres. Footie with appropriate numbers can't be that far away surely?

The footie on the box has proved one thing, how much the crowd is part of the spectacle.

Be good if they can work out a way to get spectators in for the restart.

The way the government is approaching it, it wont be a problem. Now it is 1m- thats just one seat isnt it?

Groups who live together can sit together- and probably people in "bubbles" too. One seat between each group. I can see them saying its fine- and getting stadiums 50% full or more.

Probably 25% of stadium capacity and with the SBR Lower shut due to the standing element there?

Why would they close part of the ground? We'll want to maximise attendances / match day revenues.

Not saying they will want to, but they won’t be allowed to.

It will have to be all at 1m+ distance so, assume seat either side and seats directly in row in front and behind will be empty?

Just assumed with SBRL being standing, they won’t be able to enforce it so they simply won’t open

Using every other or every third seat isn't a problem. It's the getting to the seat and having to walk past so many people that would be an obstacle to watching football safely. And that's before the ha;f time queue for the loos and the bar.

Rank 8 activities are open/opening. Can imagine rank 9 ones will be the next to make their case with some precautions.

Think they are already looking at models for the flow of people into and out of grounds ( EFL that is ). They have managed it in Denmark with crowds. You can have sanitiser by the exits and entrance to the seating area and insist on masks being worn for strong and leaving.

I only posted 2 posts before this response. Hardly an evenings worth. Also only 4028 posts in 13 years, some people probably post that amount in a month. So my life is fine, thanks.

The two prior posts this evening were in the crisps thread, and the one you took to offence to.

They were posted over a couple of hours ago. Just popped back on to see if anyone agreed with the flavour I nominated, and saw that you responded, so checked it out also.

Chill out, wasn’t even meant as a nasty dig!!

Ok, well enjoy your football. I retired from John Warks 5-a-side team at 31 due to relocating for work. Never got back into playing football as I am just too old and decrepit now.

I would add to that by saying that in Towns case, because we have a fanbase that travels from outside the immediate area, the trains in are packed and many use supporters coaches which will be a bit of a no go. I tend to travel in by car nowadays with mates who I haven't seen since lockdown. We also have a lot of ageing fans in our demographic make up who would be potentially more at risk if they caught the virus. As you are alluding to, there is a lot more to this than doting fans around the stadium.
