Do you think she is appealing this ruling so she can can return to the country she has betrayed to renounce her previous associations, plead guilty to whatever appropriate charges are levied against her, voluntarily commit to a deradicalisation program and work against others being radicalised into aiding terrorism? I don't.

This will upset some.... on 15:41 - Jul 16 by jonbull88 | First part of her redemption for me is beg for forgiveness and admit her mistakes. She has done nothing but tell people she watched people die as if it was normal life. My opinion of what really should happen to these sorts of people haven’t been allowed in the uk for a very long time. My view on her is my own and I understand others don’t share the view which I appreciate, but for me she is an Isis supporter and a supporter of terrorism and shouldn’t be allowed to ever walk the streets of the uk again. |
Which country should have her then? She is our problem/citizen to deal with. It really is very simple to understand and in no way supporting or condoning her actions. Why should any other country have to deal with her?

If I'm reading this right you'd be quite happy to see someone who was 15 when they fled the country executed for doing so?

Yes, but she supported a barbaric regime that practised the death penalty. So the obvious moral thing to do would be to condemn her to death.

Sorry, what exactly is your point and how do you think it acts as a refutation of my point? All I'm seeing here is indignation, not any kind of argument. Your question is completely irrelevant to the fact that she is a British citizen who the government illegally tried to remove citizenship from and who should be tried under British law for any crimes she has committed. How she pleads is up to her.

Indeed. There's a grim irony that a few posters in this thread preach the kind of draconian and backward 'justice' that ISIS would wholeheartedly approve of. They'll be calling Shamima an infidel next. [Post edited 16 Jul 2020 16:09]

What’s that got to do with anything? Are you saying anyone who is accused of a crime in this country and who shows no remorse should be stripped of their citizenship and thrown to another country to deal with? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The Conservative clubhouse is decidedly empty of caddies and waterboys these days after they all got the boot from here. Not wise to be upsetting one of the few political allies left slumped at the bar.

How many children make sensible decisions all the time? How easy is it to brainwash children to an opinion which they believe is their own but isn't really? How easy is it to do that when you have them in an entirely controlled environment? She's a UK citizen and she should face judgement for her actions in the UK, isn't that what we like to think separates us from the people she has associated herself with? SB

There's been no ruling on the legitimacy of the government's decision to remove her citizenship. The ruling was solely on whether to facilitate her appeal by allowing her entry to the U.K. The quotes from her legal team and her father would I'm sure not resonate well with many people and particularly not with anyone affected by ISIS terrorism. The quote from Sajid Javid saying "it will prove impossible to subsequently remove her" I would imagine would resonate with most of us if not yourself.

I am still entirely unclear as to what your argument is here. People don't like her so she shouldn't be allowed back? I'm not sure how well that will stand up in court.

Why does their religion and ethnicity become the main identifiable factor, when there is literally thousands of white British peadophiles as well? Therefore when this is the case, why do we need not view it as Britain has a problem with white British peadophiles? [Post edited 16 Jul 2020 18:04]
