Clearly the right decision for me though, and if she has committed crimes she should be tried under UK law when she returns.

I don't believe we should let her back into the country, she renounced her right to live here when she left and both joined and supported a terrorist organisation, dedicated to killing every single person here, if they had the chance.
She said she wasn't a British citizen anymore, when she was found in ISIS, so she willingly chose to revoke her citizenship.
As for calling her a child, may I remind you all the age of criminal responsibility in this country is 12, every teenager at that age is considered educated enough to understand the difference between right and wrong and their choices have consequences.
She could still claim nationality in Bangladesh, where she still has dozens of relatives, who have said they are willing to help her, Bangladesh cannot, by the same international law that the UK is held to, stop her applying to live there.

If she does return, she should face the same penalty all terrorists who kill innocents face, a life sentence. She says she only witnessed and rejoiced in the deaths of others, yet security forces are still investigating reports she actually partook in the killing of several people, either through preparation of IEDs or directly as one 'witness' has claimed before he died, that she killed an injured teenage boy.

I ask this honestly, would any of you actually be happy and feel safe if she moved into the house next door, given her history, after all if you can't forgive a racist slave trader who became a philanthropist with their disgusting practices, how can you forgive someone who revels in the deaths of others and think they should be treated better.
I call that a double standard, anyone who abuses others or joins in with it should never be allowed to spread that ingrained hate to others in polite society.

That's a Tysonesque shot, he will do well to get up after that one.

Not getting up from anything. Obviously I don’t support Sharia law. I do support capital punishment for treason (probably would for some murder cases as well). This is very different to stoning people for adultery and pushing homosexuals off buildings.

Always an odd one (well, not odd, pretty much expected really) how these types of people who are most vocally and aggressively anti-ISIS are rather keen to take up some of their ways of living.

No way do I agree with him, but I understand why some people would be upset about this. Both sides have a point, though obviously an eye for an eye isn't my preferred choice of justice. Don't be to hard on him.

I'm afraid she didn't. Not legally, no more tgsn Michael Scott can declare bankruptcy by yelling it across the office. Like it or not, that's a fact.

UK citizen. UK problem to deal with. It's not complicated.

The rest of your post is so littered with falsehoods and inaccuracies that I don't even know how to begin adressing it.

I'm waiting for you to explain why her death is the moral and correct outcome.

What you don't seem to realise is that state sanctioned murder as a response all three examples you've cited is wrong. You think you're better than them for being against two out of three. You think that you're different than the extremists by drawing the line at capital punishment for homosexuality and adultery but being fine with the execution of a crime commited by a minor. I'm telling you you're not.

She went over there at 15. Most of the crimes would have been committed after she turned 16 and was no longer a minor. Anyway, as someone earlier pointed out she was well past the age of criminal responsibility.

Adultery and homosexuality would not cause the deaths of others, therefore killing people for doing those things is immoral.
Joining ISIS could cause the deaths of loads of people, therefore killing someone for doing that is not immoral.

The age of criminal responsibility is 10 not 12 in England and Wales. Pretty sure the youth courts don't deal with that many treason cases these days.

We don't have capital punishment here so the whole bravado posturing is as pointless as it is irritating.

What's wrong with sticking to the subject instead of going down the route of "If it were me I'd stick them in a room with parents/I'd pull the lever myself/If I had my way they'd have their bits cut off etc..."

It's dull, repetitive nonsense.

There isn't capital punishment in this country, won't be again, so what is the point of this fantasy?

The solution to the immediate problem is perfectly simple. Criminal or victim she is British. She needs to be tried here and then either imprisoned or rehabilitated or whatever the experts on these things think is best.

It's really not hard.

So to summarise :

You happily support and vote for a racist, homophobic, Islamophobia, misogynistic, bigoted man who plans violent acts against journalists.
You don't particularly worry about the people who suffer racism, homophobia, Islamophobia, misogyny, bigotry or violent acts because of the words they write.
You'd happily see poor kids go hungry during the school holidays so long as you got your Brexit.
You support capital punishment for crimes commited by minors.

Apologies, I couldn't remember if it was 10 or 12, I know it was changed in the last 50 years and it's different in different EU countries, but knew the maximum is 12, so hedged my bets and memory.

You’ve twisted so much there it’s ridiculous. Here’s the way others may interpret:
I happily support the democratically elected (with a huge majority) Prime Minister. Doesn’t make me a ‘wrong un’
I thought the decision to continue free school meals during school holidays because of corona was unnecessary given furlough payments and other benefits. Doesn’t make me a ‘wrong un’.
I believe someone who leaves their country to join an evil terrorist organisation engaged in armed warfare against their country is worthy of the death penalty. Doesn’t make me a ‘wrong un’
Our views differ, we know that. I thought we had got past the whole just calling each other names thing.

It's the going around in pointless circles that is frustrating, which is why people assume you are trolling.

It's like A N Other poster earlier in the thread who posted stuff, others gave perfectly acceptable answers, but he carried on spouting the same crap regardless, which makes engaging not worthwhile.

You (and anyone) may well rightfully raise points, but when those points are addressed with other points that are clearly relevant, why carry on as though no one has said a word?

If you aren't going to take a blind bit of notice then you may as well not post at all.

This is the main issue in point. She revoked her British national status herself in an interview when she was in ISIS, which is why when she was discovered in the refugee camp last year, after she was presumed dead, that UK revoked her status as well. That is what her lawyers are arguing against, she hasn't been made nationless yet, as she still has the option at any point in her life of becoming a Bangladeshi citizen.
There are plenty of other non violent people, and kids, that are truly nationless that deserve the chance more than she does, why don't the lawyers and solicitors choose to help them, oh right I forgot, unknown people wouldn't earn them any money or fame to help their personal careers, so aren't worthy of helping.

You’re very keen to defend your values, which is admirable but sometimes this makes you too eager and you wade in and accuse people of things too hastily. You only see black and white. Either someone’s views align identically to yours or they are an evil racist nasty. The 14 million people who voted Tory can’t all be nasty racist homophobes.
