One man show- Chris Nicholl ( Aston Villa) Scored all four goals in 2-2 draw away to Leicester Div 1, March 20,1976- two for his own side & two own goals.
Fastest own goals; 8 seconds Pat Kruse of Torquay, for Cambridge Div 4, Jan 3,1977; in First Division, 16 sec by Steve Bould Arsenal away to Sheffield We'd, Feb 17,1990.
Half an own goal each; Chelsea's second goal in a 3-1 home win against Leicester on December 18, 1954 was uniquely recorded as 'shared own goal', Leicester defenders Stan Millburn & Jack Froggat, both lunging at the ball in an attempt to clear, connected simultaneously & sent it rocketing into the net.
Match of 149 own goals; when Adama, Champions of Malagasy (formerly Madagascar) won a league match 149-0 on October 31, 2002, all 149 were own goals scored by opponents Stade Olympique De L' Emryne. They repeatedly put the ball in their own net in protest at a refereeing decision.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
Im sure I remember Mariner scoring a thumping header from a corner into our net against somebody. Palace maybe? Or did my mind just make that up?
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.
Ipswich Town 0 Nottingham Forest 2 25th April 1978 Paul Mariner, flicks Robertson's corner over his own keeper.
Thanks for that, earlier than I though it was.

I recall a spectacular one from Stockwell, possibly against Swindon?
This one basically relegated Man City to division 3 keeping Qpr up in the process,Jamie Pollock then went on to win ( beating Jesus Christ ) a channel 4 poll on the most influential person of the last 2000 years.!!
October 6th, 1984 Newcastle won 3-0 Burley scored a own goal after just 20 seconds.
Didn't remember that until you mentioned it. Must be one of the earliest own goals ever scored in the top flight here. Wikipedia cites two earlier OGs: "Possibly the fastest own goal from kick-off was achieved by Leon Goretzka of Bayern Munich after 13 seconds of a Bundesliga match. It was the first touch by any Bayern player in that game.
"Although a fairly unknown player called Pat Kruse may have scored the fastest own goal at 6 seconds in 1977."
