Fact One: Leeds won the Championship this season because they defended better.
Last season F 73 A 50
This season F 77 A 35
.Fact Two: It is said Bielsa improved Leeds without them spending more money. This is not true.

In the eight seasons from 2010-11 to 2017-18 Leeds average rank for Championship wages was 12th. Their average Championship position was 12th. Last season with Biesla as manager Leeds expenditure rose, in relative as well as absoulte terms.
Leeds payroll was 46 million the seventh highest in the Championship.
How will Leeds do in the PL next season, on average promoted teams won 87 points in the Championship and 39 points the following season in the PL.
Leeds are better than average Championship promoted winners. They accumulated 93 points. In the PL such teams have averaged 42 points and finished 15th.

How can Fact Two be a fact if it’s not true?

Depends what you mean by "last" season.

The stats you've got there were for 2018-19. For the season just gone they mostly managed on free and loans, after selling about £27m of talent (transfermarkt give a figure of £0 for fees, with only a couple of cheap players as unknowns).

God knows how they'll gt on in the PL. They're big enough with their match day and commercial income on top of the TV money to give it a good go. They seem to have a decent manager too, albeit a slightly eccentric one!

Not sure what point you're making really but they're opinions, not facts. .

It's a fact they conceded less goals, it's not a fact they defended better. As for their wage bill, what significance are seasons of 7 / 8 years ago to the average? Bielsa has only been there 2 years. And who has said they've not spent money? If your data is correct then to finish top with the 7th highest wage bill deserves a bit of credit.

As for forecasts for next season, it's all meaningless and depends largely on how much they invest in new players. Norwich won the league the prior year with 7 more points than Leeds did this year, yet finished bottom on 21 points and took an absolute slapping.
