Must be appearance based?

Maybe over 700 top flight appearances for one club?

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Is it the footballer with the best posture?

He had, and probably still has remarkable posture, a walking advert for the Alexander technique.

Nope. It's actually about his managerial career., He holds a record with six other Managers.

If it is nothig to do with his posture, is it Colchester managers who also played for Ipswich?

Something to do with relegation?

He was manager of both Stoke and Colchester who went down in 1990.

Poll: Favourite Norwich Relegation?

And yet Mills always talks on the radio as if he could do a better job than whoever the current incumbent is.

The stat about ex-Town players who have managed Colchester must be about right too.

I think Millsy wins that one as Stoke were a pretty good team to get relegated and he got the U's relegated out of the league all in the same season.

There was an interesting stat for 'Woy Hodgson' in the Times at the weekend.... after giving some Palace tyro his debut he is the only manager to manage players born in every decade from the 1940's through to the 2000's

That's even more impressive than Bobby Robson celebrating his 70th birthday on the very day one of his players, Jermaine Jenas was celebrating his 20th.

I think there might actually be more than 7 ex-town player who have also managed Colchester though.

In fact I will look at the list and count them

Alan Hunter
Cyril LEa
Steve Foley (Caretake)
Mick Mills
Ian Atkins
George Burley
Dale Roberts (caretaker)
Steve Whitton
Geraint Williamas
Tony Humes
John McGreal

That is some list, quite a nice little retirement option for Town footballers

That's lovely but this really should be on the Stoke forum ;-)
