Things Bournemouth could consider suing people for 09:28 - Jul 29 with 4392 viewsKeno

Their goalie for being negligent in making an error that cost them a goal that lost them point?

A striker for missing a simple chance that cost them a goal

A defender for giving away a penalty

A midfield player for failing to pick up runner who goes through to score

that guy who opted not to play for them in crucial games

Newcastle for inflicting emotional hardship on them for beating them at home

Anything care to add anymore?

Wasting TWTD's time talking about Bournemouth. Maybe we could get together and sue them for that?

Considering how good they were in storming the Championship, perhaps they could sue the Premier for being unfair? Or Wolves for spending their money more effectively? Or history, for relegating them to a footnote?

Or Mr Putin for distributing the evil empire's finances in a way that created some all-powerful oligarchs who turned out to be more equal than other lesser oligarchs.

Making Eddie Howe react to defeat after defeat by standing on the touch line, just rubbing the back of his head and looking perplexed and clueless.

I'm thinking that any Championship clubs in the season they were promoted should actively check all the dubious penalty decisions they were awarded and think about suing the ref that gave them.

Suing Eddie Howe for leaving them and wasting everyone’s time to go and manage Burnley before coming back -with that they would be a more sustained premiership side and wouldn’t be in a relegation fight!

Presumably Liverpool under the Trades Descriptions Act for whatever they said Solanke was to get £20m for.

Didn't the also pay £15m for Ibe? £15m for Billing? £25m for Lerma? £10m for Afobe?

I think they should sue their own scouts in that case.

Or if it potentially jeopardised your next career move, which was already tenuous due to circumstances out of your control.

In those circumstances, I would- yes. And they were quite prepared to do a contract extension to cover it anyway,.

Footballers have short careers, if he'd signed on a short term deal and suffered an injury it could have destroyed his one opportunity for a big money move.

Fair play to Ryan Fraser for looking after his and his families interests in testing circumstances.

He has insurance.

You have a career built at a club, the club is facing a relegation fight in which you could make a real difference, unusual circumstances- but you are only being asked to play the number of games you normally would have done.

Most players got on with it.

You've already been educated in previous threads about how that relationship between player and club isn't always two way and why.

I can't talk with absolute authority, but I'd be surprised if the insurance would have covered the loss of a potential move falling to pieces, especially if he actively signed a contract that put himself in the position where he may receive said injury.
