Went to the supermarket on the way home from work. 18:54 - Jul 29 with 17369 viewsShawsey

A woman was trying to buy bedding with some sort of food voucher from the government. The cashier rightly told he that it had to be spent on food for her children. A manager was called and she confirmed that the woman had to buy food with them. She was well p****d off and left the bedding behind. On my way out she was at the kiosk trying to but cigarettes with it. Unbelievable. I feel so sorry for her children. She certainly hadn't gone without food.

It's called hard left logic. Anybody who is not that far left doesn't give a toss about anybody else and is essentially evil, something like that anyway.

Same old crap from you then, not learnt a thing.

Unsure? Make it up.

I noticed your little downvote on the other thread but no explanation. Maybe you just support a bit of racism, but more subtly eh?

There's still been no evidence on this thread that these alleged vouchers were intended for any imagined children, at this point.

So how about focussing on that instead of leaping in again making cowardly digs at other posters?

Pointless, again.

That’s not exactly what I said. I raised scepticism about the need for the Marcus Rashford lunch thing. Obviously this makes me worse than Hitler.

Nowhere did I say that you were Hitler. You ain't that charismatic son. You're just a bit of a selfish wrong 'un with a weasely way of trying to get away with not owning what you say.

I’m not punching down on anyone. I’ve heard a story which is clearly outrageous and have expressed my disapproval at the misuse use of public funds by the individual in question.

I don't know how you can be bothered.

Paz, you seem like a reasonable guy, so let's talk figures.

The numbers as of January 2020 suggest the UK has lost £136bn since the Brexit vote.

But you have the arse with £120m for hungry British kids.

Can you see why people think this is a silly position or not?

Respect for Marcus Rashford by 26_Paz 17 Jun 2020 14:19
Setting a dangerous precedent ... this is not the role of the state.

Threads here for anyone wanting to see Paz's hot take on feeding hungry kids.

My favourite part is where he gets called a 'hateful, cold hearted, tosser' by a poster widely and correctly considered to be a much nicer bloke than me.

*Whose

The Institute for Government and Bloomberg. But why are you quibbling over a £136bn bill, do you think you'll get a discount for complaining?

Something you're a huge cheerleader for has shrunk the economy by almost a quarter and you're bothered about a relative pittance to feed hungry kids.

I just don't get it. You might think it's a price worth paying for Brexit but I certainly don't.

That's about £4 per UK taxpayer

If anyone resents £4 of their tax money feeding hungry kids then frankly they are a ****

Those numbers are clearly projections as they were made before we’d even left. He also states Brexit has shrunk the economy by a quarter ... any economic shrinkage since January I would say has more to do with this virus thing you might have heard of
