14 days, 7 days, 10 days... 10:13 - Jul 30 with 1675 viewshomer_123

take your pick.

Symptoms show on a Monday = isolate for 14 days
Symptoms show on a Tuesday= isolate for 7 days
Symptoms show on a Wednesday = isolate for 10 days
Symptoms show on a Thursday = isolate for 14 days from the following Thursday
Symptoms show on a Friday = drink beer Friday, Saturday and Sunday then isolate for 2 days to recover from the hangover before isolating a few more days (you decide) to be safe(ish)
Symptoms show on a Saturday = ignore symptoms, enjoy the weather, get out and about - if you still feel rough the following Saturday, follow Thursdays guidance
Symptoms show on a Sunday = ignore symptoms, visit your local church or religious establishment and ask the relevant god or deity to cure you of all your ills, then visit your local hostelry and drink and eat - no need for any isolation

I've always wondered why we didn't go with 14 days. 7 seemed to few based on what we know about incubation periods and all that jazz.

I drove through Barnard Castle on Monday and it is rather lovely. That said, there were lots of cars and quite tight roads so not sure it was the best place to go for Classic Dom to test his eyesight and safety to drive, especially with his child in the back. If I was a more sceptical man I'd say that Classic Dom's story seems highly implausible.

I'm sat here at work doing spreadsheets looking like the lone f*cking ranger - now customers are in the building we have to wear masks pretty much constantly.

No, if you travel through Barnard Castle your vehicle magically upgrades so that you have infinite fuel.

Its got something to do with disease transmission once symptoms have shown up.... give a worldwide input 7 days is now deemed sufficient.

Of course there is no amount of quarantine that will protect you from the people who are aymptomatic...(or NHS workers who pop into the supermarket on the way home)... just pretend they dont exist like the government and all will be well
