He'd liven things up a bit on the pitch next season back at Portman Road.

Looking for a return to England.

RIP Sir Bobby

Maybe we could get Frank Nouble back and get the band back together.

I’d happily take Noubke to pad out the squad, but JET is done, even at League One level.

Incredible natural ability, unfortunately it takes more than just talent.

I used to like him but it didn't quite happen for him here did it?

There'd be nothing of note from him for ages then suddenly, a moment of magic.

From nowhere he'd beat his man, turn the next one, and then give such a wonderful shot from just over the half way line and the crowd would gasp in anticipation...

and it would hit the bar or the post what felt like every single time.

Absolute definition of a luxury player.

Loved him but he just didn't warrant a place over someone who would perform with more consistency.

I do know Lucan wanted to have his babies.

He had so much ability but I don't think anyone, including JET himself, has ever figured out how to get the best out of him. I seem to remember that at Arsenal he'd played everywhere in the yoof teams, as a CB, defensive mid, then moving higher up the pitch as he got older. Great to have that versatility but I'm not sure he ever learnt how to play a particular position effectively. Such a shame as he had (or has) bags of talent and I had high hopes for him.

Saw him playing the only League Cup game of 2011/12 vs Northampton. Jewell played him behind a toothless front two of Nathan Ellington and Jason Scotalnd and he was essentially unplayable - Northampton had no idea what to do about him and he eventually scored from what looked suspiciously like a cross, having had some RIDICULOUS efforts. Then Northampton got an equaliser courtesy of an ALB howler, Jewell started mucking about with the formation and tactics and he basically vanished. That game essentially summed him up as a player.

He could hit the bar from anywhere on the pitch at any given moment.

Would be an incredible 5-a-side player to have on your team.

He was so utterly frustrating to watch but weirdly entrancing. For no real proper reason he's one of my favourites of the banter era.

I remember the 2-5 loss at home Southampton where he came on and within a few minutes he'd beaten 3 Southampton players in one movement. It was amazing to watch.
