251/1 chasing England's 328, with 62 balls left. Stirling on 139, Balbirnie (the Captain) on 94.

Captain has his ton. They've played really well, but unfortunately Moeen Ali may well have played his last international match.

England should probably have scored more, indeed that looked inevitable when Morgan was in.

Ireland have been magnificent though, even if Sterling has just been run out for 142. 264/2 needing 65 from 50.

Been on the cards a while, never personally seen the hype.

He got in as a part timer as we had no one else, then his batting sunk and although he can do a job as a spinner not good enough to be a front line spinner as has been shown in the big series when he gets hit out of the attack.

Ali's batting has rather gone to pieces and his bowling fallen behind others such as Bess and Leach, with Rashid's leg-spin being so effective in the shorter forms.

Hmmm, that’s not a fair assessment of a decent career. He’s certainly struggling now and his England days are probably coming to an end but he achieved far more than you give him credit for.

Ireland 285/3, 44 needed from 30.

Some really poor discipline with no balls by England.

Well deserved for Ireland though.

Yes, that Willey over was particularly poor but England haven’t quite been good enough throughout.

Ireland were very good and deserved to win.

Won it, by a substantial margin, too (7 wickets), with one ball to spare.

Having only one experienced death bowler was costly, Willey showed why he's not rated as a death bowler and Mahmood is talented but inexperienced in ODI pressure situations.

Moeen.....England’s 18th highest Test wicket taker ever......

Oh....and fittingly....the worst average amongst the Top 60 or so belongs to the ‘King of Spain’.
