Fulham aren’t a fairytale though. The way Sky are talking about Scott Parker, you’d think he had taken Ipswich to the Premier League on a budget of buttons and biscuits. He has players on near £100k a week 😂

The media won’t shove their tongues up Fulham’s backsides for long though - not like they would have done with Brentford.

Scott Parker was driving behind me in Cobham about 6 months ago and was an immaculate driver given the typical motorist in this area. So congrats to him and Fulham. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Chelsea, Q.P.R then Brentford, I think Fulham look at Brentford the way we do Colchester.

Coming from a family of Fulham fans, they main rivals are QPR with Brentford a close second. Chelsea traditionally a rival but never been the hatred

I am also from a family of Fulham fans, although my Dad would go and watch Q.P.R when Fulham were playing away, which may have somewhat skewed what I've been told.

Am I right in saying there was nearly a merger between Fulham and QPR in the 80's?

That's it. Craven Cottage would have been sold off for luxury houses by the Thames but I think Jimmy Hill was instrumental in blocking it.

It was the fans who were up in arms but Jimmy Hill was the main person involved probably because he was famous It was a weird situation it was a property company who already owned Stamford Bridge and Craven Cottage and then bought Loftus Road and to recoup some of the money they wanted knockdown Craven Cottage and build houses on it and merger QPR and Fulham. Jim Smith was going to be the Manager
