My name is WKJ, otherwise known as http://www.twitch.tv/WKJezz and I spend a lot of time in space playing Elite Dangerous by Cambridge based Frontier Developments.
As an ambassador of Elite Dangerous for Frontier Developments, and close to Twitch Partner, I am given unique opportunities to use the platform I have to make money for good causes.
On the 28th Aug - 29th Aug 2020 (9:30AM), I will be doing a 24 hour stream in aid of Special Effect, a UK charity setup to provide people of all ages with accessibility needs a chance to games and feel more connected and part of the world.
The aim of the stream is to raise over £750, a sum that could buy flexible fixings to enable a correct and firm hold of controller, joystick extensions, to potentially enable greater control, and/or deliver adaptive gaming setups as well as other specialist equipment.
If you can afford to, we would appreciate it if you would be able to visit our campaign link at https://tiltify.com/@wkjezz/operation-redeye (please include TWTD in the comment if you donate so I can attribute a total to TWTD)
I appreciate 2020 has left many of us tight, and in a difficult position, so if you can not afford to donate, visiting our Twitch link on the 29th August, even if the tab is muted, will increase our visibility on the platform and potentially source more donations from your "lurk".
I appreciate any help you can give, and as always COYB!
I dabble in a bit of Destiny 2 and the streamers are another breed, but very much the lifeblood of some games these days. The community makes the game for me. So great effort, I'm amazed at the time commitment and the level some of you guys reach.
Good luck with the marathon session. Excellent cause. Post up a reminder on here ahead of the day and I'll try and logon while you're streaming. Not that I'll know what's going on!

At least you understood what he was saying.
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."

Yeah. In short he gets to play computer games while people watch him and either laugh or shower him with donations. You get idolised by teenagers and 40 year old nerds too.

Alright for some.
He's currently streaming if people are interested.
Thank you to all who have donated so far, your generosity has contributed towards a massive £135 raised so far and the event isn't set to start for another 5 or 6 days. Truly humbled by TWTD and the kindness shown!
