We need an experienced solid defender like him (or two) but I am not too disappointed to miss out on him specifically. Everything that happened when he was sacked from Derby did not sit well and I just feel he may not be a positive influence or as fit as we would have liked.

Here is hoping he doesn't prove me wrong.

Or maybe half that and it was all that was on the table and he lives close to MK already ?

.Or maybe the thought of playing for PL made any amount of money irrelevant

If we actually offered 8k a week, that is absurd. Not worth it and not disappointed at all.

You never know though all that experience at the back could very well be what we need to get out of this league. Especially in a back three where Woolfie can cover them both for pace.

Or maybe we have learnt our lesson on offering too much money to players who are in the twilight of their career and yet to prove their fitness after a bad injury and being a very naughty boy !! Just a different take on it i suppose .

Ideally, I'd really like us to get a CB that is a couple of years older and experienced than Woolfenden, but someone that has the potential for longevity. Keogh would be like signing another Chambers, so I'm not too disappointed.

Can you imagine the nappy wetting on here if he had signed for us and not played before Xmas ?

Not with young Cole dominating the midfield and offering the back 4 excellent protection.

Nope! ITFC & Cole Skuse have eroded my love of the game.

I'm sure (I hope) that when it kicks off my attitude will change. But as it stands we're going to see a very similar starting 11 with the same shoddy coaching set up so I really don't see anything to be excited about.

I'm hoping Lankester, Miz and Dobra can excite me.

Offering £8k pw for a 33 year old who is still recovering from injury, at the same time as league one voted for a salary cap doesn't sound overly likely.
