Just started watching the documentary on the iplayer. Nice piece on Sergei. To think he was the first player from the USSR to play overseas. We were such pioneers when it came to scouting at that time weren't we. So sad how things have changed. Loved how the commercial department at ITFC arranged to get Sergei and his family a sponsored car and got him a Lada.
Sergei scoring the first in a 5-1 thumping of Stoke, played on what resembled the Somme.

I still have the whole 90min + match on an original VHS tape. Used to be sold in club shop for a fiver. Videos of matches were used by coaching staff, and copies sold to fans. Whole game recorded on one video camera mounted from what looks like the directors box. At half the the the operator changes the viewing lens for some reason, pitch changes shades but still a cow field. Oh and no commentary. TWTD!
