They can kiss my assets...

They’ve been charged but till awaiting announcement on punishment. Will likely get similar to Sheff Wed

For all our misery, you have to wonder what it's gonna take to break them don't you? They've spent so much just to stand still it is truly exceptional.

I for one will be really intrigued as to what an indifferent season and a sanction might do to them. Odds on when they do get hit, they'll be 13 points clear and get 12 etc.

So that’s £30m towards overspending on transfers to hopefully avoid that points deduction getting them relegated. Then they’ll have another season to try & gain promotion before FFP hits them for another point deduction or fine for over spending now.

It’s almost like they are playing the system.

Not playing it too well though because next season will be their 13th consecutive in The Championship.

They have spent a large percentage of those seasons trying to buy promotion so if nothing else they are proving that buying promotion is not an exact science.

I posted about it on Twitter and had a load of Derby fans saying it wasn’t true they had been charged.

Literally hundreds of stories saying they have 🙄

I agree. They are simply throwing money at the situation & hoping things will stick.
But they are guaranteeing themselves they won’t be relegated. Yes, promotion is the main goal - but not getting the drop next season must come a very close second.

I thought 32Red, the Derby shirt sponsor, was paying for most of his £90K (PW?!) wages.
That’s why he has the number 32 shirt.

Potential penalty is -21 pts which is amusing.

And the loan is apparently to pay off another loan!

I’m not holding my breath especially.

Wigan were hit with a points penalty, deservedly for going into Admin, but they’ve been overspending & flouting FFP for years. I had no tears for them.

Sheff Wed got -12 for similar offences to what Derby have been charged with, but Derby is apparently on a bigger scale

Have they got any assets left? They seem to have a rather inflated book value!
