agree would have liked to have seen leach but they seem to be packing the lower order with reasonable batsmen to make up for being a batsman down at the top. | | | |

His record so far for a bowler just starting his test career is very good. I don't think he can consistently bowl at 90mph plus, especially when we're bowling him for long spells, but he makes stuff happen and doesn't rely on raw pace. He's a very good bowler imo.

I think expectation is making people judge Archer very harshly. I read this yesterday, it's good.

Root over uses him. He needs to bowl him in short spells, but to give us that variety he needs to keep his pace up in the high 80s/ low 90s. He’s certainly a talented guy, but if he’s bowling mid 80s he’s no different from Broad, Anderson or Woakes.
