... Birmingham, Coventry and Stoke all interested in Jackson.

BIRMINGHAM JOIN JACKSON RACE

Birmingham have joined Coventry in the race to sign Ipswich striker Kayden Jackson.

The 26-year-old was in talks over a new deal at Ipswich but the introduction of the salary cap has ended discussions.

Jackson has one year left on his current contract plus an option, and only two players in League One were involved in more goals last season.

The player scored 11 times himself in 32 league appearances.

Stoke are also reportedly interested in Jackson.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

If we sell Jackson we've basically thrown in the towel and ME will have confirmed he's more than happy for us to be a mid table league 1 club.

But he's absolutely rubbish, barely a L2 player according to a few on here.

Was reported a few days ago. Don't think there's anything in it and we can't really sell him as we couldn't replace him within the salary cap.

Can't see it, not sure we need another striker and I don't think we'd have room for his salary (or be up for paying a fee if people are talking about a permanent move).

If we lost Jackson we would definitely need another striker in , but as you say problems replacing anyone with the wage cap , but Walker for Jackson would be a good bit of business .

Nothing lately on Downes , just hope nothing happens there

I don't think there's much in any of the Jackson stories, to be honest. Think it's just agent talk.
