This club really needs to think about what its doing with regards to its strikers after shipping off McGoldrick and Waghorn in the disaster season of 2018/19.

Lol, he's not exactly camera shy!!

Indeed, he grabbed the microphone on Friday and was interviewing Alan Judge. He also pictured himself being coronavirus tested. What I meant was that he hasn't been in the action photos.

You expect the club to comment on every bit of gossip?

I can only speak for myself, but I’m obviously not wanting the club to comment on any gossip around silly transfer rumours; but I would like to know what’s going on with his injury. The season is also a month away, are we going to be without our highest paid player for a long period of time?

Normally this time of year we'd get updates on injuries etc after pre-season games but no press going tonight and we've not been given another opportunity to speak to PL. There are restrictions on who can go to the training ground at the moment. Further to that, most of the club media staff have been on furlough.

He’s re-habbing at the moment. He was on a separate re-hab programme in close season - which he’s being allowed to continue.

I remember you saying you know one of his close mates. Do you know how far away he is from being fully fit?

Surely a groin tear, that has been operated on, shouldn't take this long to heal? Bit concerning.

I know this is the era where Ipswich do everything and anything wrong / stupid - but there's just no way this one happens. Nooo wayyyy.

Orrrrrrrrrrrrrr just maybe, he is seen as a bad egg and its better to cut our losses and save the £8k a week wages.

Had he had an amazing season last year it may be a different story, but he didn't.

I'm sure he's a lovely lad, a good laugh, but possibly not what we need in this current mess!

RIP Sir Bobby

It does but there is certainly something going on with Norwood.

The rumours last season were he had actually fallen out with the Club prior to becoming injured and both parties were looking to facilitate a move of some kind. I believe some others on here had alluded to something similar around that time. At the time Tranmere was the likely destination assuming they were going to stay up however with their relegation and the wage cap that wouldn't be likely. Rovers fans were of the belief he wasn't fit and wasn't happy here and his morale suffered greatly when it was becoming increasingly unlikely we would be playing in the Championship next season and he wanted to come "home". It may be some wishful thinking on their part but given his fondness for the club and their support - and that he was still in touch with many of the people involved with Rovers it is equally possible there was some thinking along those lines at that time.

Ultimately Ipswich has to get him off the books, or Jackson to make everything work long term with the new wage situation so it wouldn't surprise me if either or both were off at some point.

Would be nice to hear something from the club about these rumours .

The fact that we couldn't replace him under the wage cap should make this a non starter .

I don't think that's viable - but it's ridiculous that the manager isn't doing any press conferences at the moment.

The club needs to work with the media a bit more, the media keep a hell of a lot of stuff under wraps for ITFC and don't report things that aren't in the clubs interest, that needs to be a 2 way relationship

That might be over egging things slightly, but when the club asks media to keep certain things out of it then they need to give a bit back - they are currently having to live of scraps in a time when they need a bit of support

Either we have botched yet another operation - would you expect a player to be in rehab still 6 months after a groin operation - or there is something else going on. Maybe he wants away, but no-one will make up his wages?
