Came back from London via M11 /A14. Pretty clear. Luckily I heard about the A12, as my SatNav was oblivious.

Be interesting to know how the information cascade flows...

Many years ago I was at the scene of a fatality (human v topper lorry) just after it happened closing the road, a busy London A road, that didn't make the traffic bulletins for over an hour.

These days Waze users are good at reporting problems, but don't know how many nav systems link to it.

I'm far from upto date on such things. Yesterday's closure was after someone fell from a bridge onto the A12 according to an Essex police tweet. Was around 1.30 and took around 3 hours before was in the local press. Twitter had a few tweets far earlier. If stuck I tend to check 'A12' on twitter though by then it's often too late if you are gridlocked.

Was okay for me as the slip road at Marks Tey heading towards Ipswich was still open. Got home in normal time, happy days!
