Backbench MP whingeing that the Government's position keeps changing on the basis of "the science" and how he wishes the scientists would make their minds up.

Scientist then comes on and explains patiently that the understanding of a disease we knew nothing about 9 months ago - and what steps to take in dealing with it - will naturally change as more information is gathered and analysed. That the whole basis of science is a constant process of developing, testing and amending/discarding theories. That if that were not the case, we'd still be believing the Sun revolved around the Earth.

He didn't actually call the MP a moron, but may as well have done.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
