When we do sell FD, what kind of budget would that release?

I've seen the new caps but am not as up to date on how that effects us hence the question.

I think he will go, it's just down to the initial cost to CP.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

Basically it's very likely he earns over the league average, so his salary will currently be capped at approx £2,000 a week for the cap purposes.

So that is all it will free up, basically not a lot

Our cap space would increase by the average League One wage, somewhere in the region of £2k a week equivalent.

We could go down the route of buying a good L2 player who is under 21.

Outrageous you mean you don't want to see a midfield three of Huws, Judge and Nolan, surely we wouldn't need a new midfielder!

He counts as an under-21 this season so doesn't count towards the cap.

I wonder if that somewhat helps with any negotiation.

Doesn’t really matter what we sell him for, we are very limited in how he could be replaced.
So, Palace and Flynn’s new agent, why should we create a hole in the squad?

Brilliant.

Football and ITFC.... the gift that just keeps giving.

I'm actually taking a sadistic wonder in exactly how low football and the idiots in charge of our club can take ITFC.

To be fair the fact Downes counts as under 21, and that ludicrous salary cap has been put in place, is hardly Evans or O’Neill’s fault.

Yep, that’s my reading of it. People are going to be disappointed if they think we’ll go out and buy a replacement.

It's a lottery to see which one is injured first! Add an injured Bishop and Dozzell to that mix, and the grand old silverback Skuse and we have a midfield that will fire us comfortably to 11th this season.

I know that.... hence why included football in that post, as in the generally useless authorities that run the sport.

Bottom line is any fee received will go towards Evans annual investment. We won’t replace.
