Whatever thoughts on Lambert... 14:03 - Sep 4 with 7211 views | itfcjoe | ....it's pretty embarrassing for a vastly experienced manager to make such a big U-Turn with regards to the issue of rotation and keeping a similar tactical system across all games. Amazing that he has, or is being, give the chance to turn round from last season whatever happens, or however long his leash is

Whatever thoughts on Lambert... on 17:13 - Sep 5 by The_Romford_Blue | Totally disagree. Lambert adapting and changing his mind should be applauded if anything. You’re never too old to learn. Stubbornness is the last thing we need from him. |
Well said Rommers. | |

If he understands it was a mistake, which is was, and has looked to rectify this, which it seems he has, has to be seen as positive only that he is trying to solve last years issues?

Whatever thoughts on Lambert... on 16:28 - Sep 4 by Mullet | It's a very mixed bag today having just got home and caught up on it all. People have demanded Evans be more "hands on" to varying degrees so maybe this is symptomatic of it? Perhaps Lambert is adjusting to having the run of the place and being held accountable for what has happened on his watch? That said it is worrying he is becoming more like Mick finally and talking about the need to win your shirt, inability to sign new players and the like. No coincidence that the basics and route to success starts there. Feels very much like he's had the Football manager equivalent of "this many points by this time or you're gone" type talk and this is how he's reacted. |
“Winning your shirt” has been his mantra from day one. Someone commented recently that if you performed well in training you’d get the nod, which is the way it is and should be at any pro club otherwise what’s the point in training / having a squad? He isn’t becoming more like Mick - he has some of the same approaches / philosophies as him.

You are missing the point. It is about building a team and a structure and tweaking it when relevant to allow for the opposition or players form and fitness. Picking the 11 who have trained the best and then chucking them together is not management
