It had a real comradery back then and to ride that Burley wave as a group was just joyous
But as per some other recent posters have stated, its gone the way of many things on the internet/society, its all about trolling and negativity and belligerence and nasty and disrespect being a badge of honour.

- Trump is dangerous and is the thin end of the wedge for not just the US but the world, call him out!
- McCarthy was a great man manager, could spot a player, but its a perfectly valid opinion to suggest he was never going to progress us
- Organisations succeed with a clear vision, strategy and objectives and Marcus has failed us in this, and the selections he has made in his management team
- We won't succeed until we have the right technical/tactical manager and footballing ethos running through the club
- We're all blue brothers and sisters, we all have different opinions, but its fans forum for Ipswich Town, not a Twitter feed for slagging each other off

Most of the things you state are fairly widely shared by the most vocal posters on here.
You have taken rather personally the objection to your own pet point that you refuse to shift on despite others disagreeing.
It is a football forum for discussion. If you can't take people disagreeing with you then maybe it is best to take a break from posting your thoughts. No one has a monopoly on the truth and discussion of points is healthy. |  |

It's the hill the OP has stood rigidly on despite questions being asked for a long time. If they are going to die it is here.
I suspect we will see them again very soon, though.
What I find more disturbing is this tendency (among a number) to loudly announce their departure as if their view is the only acceptable one and debate of it should not be allowed. I couldn't see anything that constitutes personal abuse there (apologies to the OP if there was and I missed it, though). | |

Had a look at two of the threads it seems you were referring to re our lack of 'technicals'. Can't see the "trolling and negativity and belligerence and nasty and disrespect being a badge of honour" you mention in those, just normal football discussion.
Or were you referring to other threads? Nobody can read everything of course, but I've thought the board's been somewhat more harmonious lately.
