Cash vouchers 11:47 - Sep 9 with 3199 viewstextbackup

Anyone gone to pick theirs up yet? Going down later, just wondering if it’s a simple process or do I need to go a day when I have had 2 hours kip. Thanks in advance

No queue when I went in an hour ago, gave customer number, confirmed address and vouchers handed over.

It’s definitely a cost saving exercise to not send them in the post straight away because they’re all in envelopes with letters printed with addresses on.

And was the amount correct?
Mate got back £56.... with taking 5/6 games plus 25% on top, that’s not right surely?! When I applied it said £70-80 I’m sure

Just went and collected mine now - a really, really simple process.

Went into Planet Blue and went full kit w*nker: Shirt, Shorts, Socks, Facemask.

Nice job ITFC - easy to complete.

ffs I forgot about the face mask.

Got my shirt, £43.60, had some team card points. Used £40 worth of vouchers and paid the odd in cash.

The idea of paper vouchers was so that they were usable across the board, in the shop, for tickets, at the bars etc, across a couple of different computer systems they run. If they'd been some sort of electronic voucher, as I've seen a few people suggest, they would only have been usable in one area.

Tell him to double check. The club randomly cancelled my ST and 're-sold' it a couple of months into the season and applied the refund at the new price until I questioned it. I had the account credit rather than vouchers but I assume they might have done the same for him. Someone else on here had the same problem.

Truly impaired.

But they wouldn't have needed people to travel into a shop to get them during a pandemic?

Swings and roundabouts I guess. As others have also said, not everyone lives in Ipswich so it's not really ideal.

I went refund just to reduce admin. It will probably go back on Town but I won't enable their dysfunction from archaic systems.

I think the thinking was that as they're refunds for season ticket holders, everyone would be at Portman Road at some point. Vouchers can be sent by post rather than collected. It's not ideal and not down to archaic systems as I understand it, just different ones. They've got one for the shop and now the new SeatGeek one for tickets. They wanted the vouchers to be usable in various areas rather than just one, which would have been the case with electronic vouchers.

Fair. I'm a massive pessimist who lives an hour away who doesn't see football in stadia until this time next year.

*Note after originally stating they could be used in the bars it’s only in Beatties and not the concourse refreshment bars.

I saw that, I wonder if that's due to them being outsourced to Centerplate.

I’ve still got a £1voucher that Paul Mariner sent me in my junior blues birthday card.

That was in the 80s.

I must cash it in.
