Dropping off at Stansted 14:41 - Sep 14 with 1016 views | itfcjoe | Not done it for years but need to drop parents off tomorrow PM - am I right in thinking you just have to pay to go in the car park now to do so?

Dropping off at Stansted on 14:43 - Sep 14 with 987 views | StNeotsBlue | £5 for the set down area. Make sure you're in and out in 10 minutes else it goes up. Only free drop off is in the mid stay car park which is then a five minute bus ride to the terminal.
Dropping off at Stansted on 14:43 - Sep 14 with 983 views | Herbivore | Last time I went about a year ago there was a very expensive drop off area outside the terminal where you pay when leaving, but it's very short stay and costs a bomb. The alternative is free drop off at the mid stay car park and they then get a bus to the terminal.

Dropping off at Stansted on 14:44 - Sep 14 with 985 views | artsbossbeard | You have to pay everywhere at Stansted. The drop off section was the last bit to go chargeable - think it was a Lady Godiva on entry last time.

Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing. | Poll: | Raining in IP8 - shall I get the washing in? |

Dropping off at Stansted on 14:55 - Sep 14 with 913 views | SitfcB | The last time I got dropped of there we went round to near the coach/bus park and hopped out there, walked under the underpass to get to the terminal, only a short walk.

Dropping off at Stansted on 14:56 - Sep 14 with 915 views | Basuco | When I went September last year, you dropped off outside the terminal then pay at a barrier on the way out, as long as you just unload cases and straight back to the car it is £3.50, but £1 a minute for anything over 10 mins, as long as you do not hang with anything other than "bye", you will be OK and you could have to queue at the barrier sometimes. I would pay by card so you can avoid any dodgy pound coins that may get rejected as happened to my son. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think the price has gone up since then. Out of interest, why did your son get rejected?

I’ve seen police collar people for doing that so I’d advise against it and go with it costing a fiver rather than a hefty fine. Cameras all over the place there now too

Card payment definitely the safest option if it may have gone up in price since last year.

Dropping off at Stansted on 15:16 - Sep 14 with 831 views | factual_blue | There's an hour free at the mid-stay car park for drop offs or collections, or about £1 million* for ten minutes to go up near to the departure lounge. You have to dodge the people cuddling in the road though, and this may mean you overstay. I think you're then in danger of being shot or arrested. *maybe a bit less. Or both. Dropping off at Stansted on 15:42 - Sep 14 with 749 views | sundaze | I had to do this last Wednesday for a friend. Follow the signs to the blue short stay car park, it is the furthest one and you end up parking way past the terminal. You will get 30 minutes free parking, but if you want to help your parents with luggage, it is tight to get to the terminal and back in 30 minutes. Remember to take your parking ticket out of the car with you, as you need to put it into one of the payment machines to get it variefied, even if you don't need to pay anything.
