HSBC has already been fined massively in the US for similar I believe.

Misaligned invectives remain a big problem in certain parts of financial services a decade after the global financial crisis.

One slight caveat is that banks are very over-cautious in lots of cases and also hold up plenty of genuine payments sometimes for a very long time.

Indeed, this is one of the things they bring up as a fairly major problem. They'll get found out, get fined, then just keep doing it anyway as the actual jail punishment never actually comes.

I find it quite ironic that "Remoaners" are constantly labelled as traitors, and yet it's pretty obvious that Brexit and the Tories are funded by a foreign enemy.
