If PRP has watched Wilson 18:43 - Sep 22 with 8222 viewsBluefish

And decided that he must never play for the club again then fair play to him 👏

I'd be happy with the new lad alongside Woolfy, Chambers at RB until KVY is fit and Ward at LB. Sadly this chap is probably because PRP has fallen out with Woolfy again and chucked him on the heap with Donacien and Kenlock

Weird stance that buh.

I'll be honest, I don't catalogue our games and incidents within them, sorry. But I've seen enough of Wilson to know that his limitations, his lack of mobility and his lack of comfort on the ball will become a problem if we have serious aspirations of being at the top of this division.

He is fine as a squad player and I'm happy to have him here, but if him and Toto are first choice for the season then we will not be at the top end of the table.

I'm not asking you to flick through your catalogue, I'm just asking you to remember something he's done wrong.

Yes he's limited, not particularly cultured, but I don't think that's enough to say he'd be the reason we wouldn't be a top team.

It's not a weird stance to ask for evidence. I suspect the reason you won't offer any examples is because you can't actually think of any. Like many, you're judging him on where he came from rather than what he actually does on the pitch, IMO.

in any case, him and Toto aren't going to be first choice for the season. I don't think anyone has suggested they would be.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

That's them out for the season then.

....in the cup match against Bristol, he nearly came off because of it.

I was amazed that he then started against Arsenal in the Trophy and made the point at the time, but was just told I was an "outer".

Seemed a strange decision at the time.

He is decent enough for this league. You seem to forget we are in L1. Is he a Championship or higher player, probably not, but L1, definitely.

But we need to be recruiting players who would be comfortable in the Championship and, hopefully, could push on from there. Having a squad who are 'decent enough for this league' will keep us in this league.

He's given you his evidence, his evidence is his appraisal of Wilson's performances on the whole since he's been here. I think that's perfectly reasonable. I also don't see Wilson as good enough to be first choice at a side with promotion aspirations but he's fine as cover when needed.

Yep, and I'm entitled to mine - which is Wilson's done nothing wrong.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

i also think he's fine as cover. Obviously Chambers and Wolfy would be most people's first choice (before McGuinness came in), with Wilson and Toto covering.

I'm actually agreeing with you that we don't need McGuinness.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.
