Seeing as we are approaching the presidential debates, and with the actual election being only 42 days away, maybe we could keep this as a US election megathread for those on here who are interested? One location for all the discussion would prevent multiple threads clogging up the board for those who don't care to get involved?
Personally, the reality of having to experience this election in the near future is stressful AF so if anyone else wants to get stressed together... Jump on board.
Now, insert all the usual caveats about polling here but...it's looking positive that we will be rid of Trump come 2021, much to the disappointment of a couple of posters on here. 538 are well respected in the field of poll analysis so what they announce should be taken seriously.
Of course their analysis doesn't take account of any election fraud, Russian interference, voter suppression etc. But it's positive news none the less. Once Trump is gone, we can work on Johnson. Decent people of the world... Unite!

Where would Joe Biden seat if he were a British politician? I’d imagine not as left as Corbyn but would he seat quite in the centre-left like New Labour under Blair?
Also, he Biden wins would his politics be friendly to the current Tory administration especially in terms of Brexit?

Biden is likely to be about as anti- current UK govt Brexit policy as you could imagine. He identifies as an Irish-American, and is solidly behind the GFA, which is currently under threat by the UK govt.
Doing business with UK (trade deal, for example) would be dependent on UK not being antagonistic towards Ireland over Brexit.
I expect a UK govt climbdown pretty soon if Biden is elected, but it'll likely be too late to avoid border chaos in January. |  | | |

Thinking about how these events apparently played out, that means that the repair shop guy (who flat out denies that there was CP on any laptop) made a copy of CP (putting himself in danger of being charged with possession of CP).
He then passed it on to RG (so that's another charge - this time trafficking in CP).
So now, as he accepted the hard drive stuffed full of CP, RG is also in danger of being charged with possession of CP (CP which he held onto for around a year for some unknown reason).
He then also trafficked CP to the NY Post, without informing the police.

Gimme a break. I feel embarrassed and ashamed for anyone buying into this stuff. It's desperate and disgraceful. Anyone who does even the most minimal reading about this can see that it's an absolute joke of a set up job by Trump and the Russians.
