Seeing as we are approaching the presidential debates, and with the actual election being only 42 days away, maybe we could keep this as a US election megathread for those on here who are interested? One location for all the discussion would prevent multiple threads clogging up the board for those who don't care to get involved?
Personally, the reality of having to experience this election in the near future is stressful AF so if anyone else wants to get stressed together... Jump on board.
Now, insert all the usual caveats about polling here but...it's looking positive that we will be rid of Trump come 2021, much to the disappointment of a couple of posters on here. 538 are well respected in the field of poll analysis so what they announce should be taken seriously.
Of course their analysis doesn't take account of any election fraud, Russian interference, voter suppression etc. But it's positive news none the less. Once Trump is gone, we can work on Johnson. Decent people of the world... Unite!

There is going to need to be a massive rebuild at many agencies. It's going to take forever. Capable people have been fired and replaced by inept cronies, so many positions sit unfilled. There really does need to be a top to bottom investigation on who knew what and when and what they did in response. Anyone involved in the muck needs to be dealt with as set out by law.
It's a right old mess. FFS the US doesn't even have an ambassador to Canada, the EU, Japan, or Pakistan right now. | |

This is the one rime that justice needs to be seen to be done, as well as done. And the investigation should also take in Johnson, Farage, Banks and what monies they accepted from Russian sources, and for what in return
Much as with Maxwell and Epstein,
And no one, be they royal or whatever political colour should be immune - nor should there be any cover up, however much damage is caused.
Whether this demonstrates to the hard of thinking how much they have been conned by these various shysters I don't know. but this must be thorough.

I suggest that voting for Brexit is worse for the reason that it is irreversible.
The disaster that is Trump will, hopefully, start to melt into history within weeks and US will be in a position to start repairing the considerable damage. We have yet to see how disastrous Brexit will be for our country and will continue to suffer its fallout for generations.
Those who hold onto the hope that we will see the error of our ways and return to the EU in a decade or two are in dreamland. |  |

Quite. But nobody is seriously saying that this is a "To Catch a Predator" style bust. That's not really the point at all.
The point is to see how easily a top government advisor with direct communication lines to the President gets put in a massively compromising situation with a foreign national, which on this occasion was for Borat style shïts and giggles but could on another occasion have much more dire consequences.
