Really was a brilliant batsman. Part of that Aussie side that schooled us over here in 1989 after we had won back to back Ashes series.
I remember watching him in a CC match for Derby as well and he was largely responsible for them going really close to a title win which would have been a huge achievement for an unfancied side. | |

Such sad news, he was such a good watch at the crease when he batted and thoroughly entertaining. 59 is nothing these days, it's these types of stories that hit me like a sledgehammer!
