I haven't played FM in about 10 years so I'm not sure what's what anymore. I'll play as Town in my first game. Could people who have been playing answer the following questions please...
- Do you have to sort out your own training still? I'd like to just set and forget that, if possible.
- Any wonder signings I should be making? Bearing in mind I'll be Town.
- I'm thinking of playing a diamond to make use of our 1 billion central midfielders. If anyone's done this and it hasn't worked I'd be interested to know.
- Anything else I should know?

The old 90’s CM’s that had true regens were brilliant - get a notification when loading the new season that George Weah had retired and then immediately go and buy the 16 year old Liberian Striker that had appeared for £5k. Good times |

I always start at the end of the first season. I hate the first season as all the squads are set and you can only sign the same pool of players who start the season unhappy/not wanted by the clubs.
For Town just gut the squad - clear out the squad filler and concentrate on the youths.
OUT - Kenlock, Wilson, Donancien, Nsiala, Nolan, Judge, Sears, Jackson, Norwood, Skuse, Rowe, Keane.
Holy/Norris (you can get him for free)
Vincent-Young
Pennington (loan)
Woolfenden
Nydam (very good at LB)
Huws/Downes
Dozzell
Lankester
Bishop
Woodburn (loan)
Toney (contract normally runs out at end of second season so they cash in with one year left - I got him for £1.6m + £400k on promotion with money raised by selling the dross mentioned above).

Cheers for that - does Dozza turn out good? Bryan Klug has a 17 for judging player potential and he reckons he’s only going to be a league one player! Was slightly gutted when I saw that because I’d planned to build the team around him. | |
