2 players have now done fingers in ears on 12:33 - Sep 29 by TheTrueBlue1878 | Has anyone stated it was acceptable? I don’t think so. However, what I would say, harping and constantly slating the players about last season will be of no beneficiary to the players this time round. Unfortunately, as Chambers rightly said, a lot of garbage was written and said about the club/players/staff close season. There is a difference between acknowledging things weren’t good enough, and then just writing pure childish garbage. |
In the context of what most clubs are like I don't think Ipswich's players or staff have much cause for complaint, to be honest.

2 players have now done fingers in ears on 10:56 - Sep 29 by itfcjoe | I think people read too much into things, Chambers gets loads of stick on social media so no surprise he left Twitter sharpish, isn't on Facebook and only allows comments from followers on Instagram - to shut out the noise Bishop probably reads too much - when he sees a story about himself and there 19 positive comments and 1 saying he'll never be fit, get rid of him etc, which one do you reckon stands out? This celebration, and shutting out the noise, is just the latest fad from US Sports psychology - if we keep winning no one cares, and if we don't it will be a big issue |
I think you are right, people do read too much into things, but they are only human. I’m sure it’s not nice reading peoples opinions that you’ll never be fit again, get rid etc, whether it’s 1 person or 10. I understand it’s football, full of opinions and all of that, but they are still human, can’t be too nice to see. Nothing really in it in my opinion. Some people have had opinions on the players recently, the players just sending a message back, well within their rights to do so, no issue at all for me with it. Seems EADT are trying to make a little story out of it, second time they’ve written up on it after the Chambers one.

It irrelevant what other clubs are like really, 1 or 10 people of giving stick, you are well within your rights to send a little message back. As you would in any walk of life.

I think the EADT worry it's heading the same way as it went under Mick when it became Us against Them, and the fans and the media were seen as 'them' when in reality they/we have gone pretty easy on the players and the club over the last 18 months.

I think part of the problem is that, without fans in the ground, players are not getting the normal upside of fan adoration, chanting etc when they perform well. Generally in life, the people commenting on social media are the moaners and complainers. At the moments then, they are probably hearing more complaints that appreciation.
