aren't they: And the government are happy just chucking absurd sums of money at the thing despite the whole being a mess so far.

I’ve so many work related stories about this lot, that would make your eyes bleed profusely in horror at the incompetence. But probs one for a drink adhering rules before 10pm.

Capita are the same.
I had a 3-month contract to do some programming.
There was a hand-shaker who took the Clients out for meals, told jokes and flattered them.
There were 2 consultants who specified the changes to the system that the client wanted.
And me who did the work.
One 4-page spec I got, specified a change to a screen where there was an 'i' before 'e' mispelling - 4 effing pages!!
As every change had a number and a detailed spec., Capita could point to how much work had been done to justify their Invoices.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

The government remain ideologically wedded tot he idea that the private sector is more 'efficient' than the private sector despite the numerous failings of Serco, Crapita, Deloitte, KPMG etc etc.

Cummins has got rid of a lot of senior civil servants and replaced them with toadies.
If that contines the claim that the public sector aren't good enough will eventually be true.

When the Tax Payers Alliance are sticking the knife into the government, there has to be something going pear shaped as they’re part of the cabal that got them into power.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

It's really quite bizarre isn't it, but then our reality now seems to be based on feels rather than reals. It doesn't matter how much evidence there is that these companies with no real expertise in health, social care, or other public sector functions are utterly incapable of providing a service that works, the government is still happy to chuck vast sums of cash their way. I guess it helps that most of these companies have direct or indirect links to the Tory Party and I guess hundreds of millions is a small price to pay to maintain a government based on cronyism and blind loyalty over competence.

F*ck this Tory government and f*ck every single person tnat voted for them.

It is more efficient. The public sector isn't anywhere near as good at putting money into Conservative party coffers as grateful private businessmen.

The government probably thinks that everyone who works in the public sector is as corrupt and inept as they are.

Agree about Capita.

Did a short term contract in pensions with them and could not believe the deliberate disregard for compliance. Reported them after I finished.

Their terms for staff are slavish. Every penny you put into your pension over the recommended allocation is by means of 'salary sacrifice'. That means they save the Employers NI but also if you are going for a mortgage you are knackered as your salary is reduced!

As I was on a contract I kept bringing these points up in the weekly meetings. I was hated by the management for showing them up. It was great to see lots of the younger staff have a moment of clarity.
I've since helped one of my former colleagues a job with a real financial services firm.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

Typical socialist, trying to interfere in a capitalist company working within the current rules In-order to maximise profits.
