The concern is more that he is open to being 'influenced' by those willing to bail him out.
Though I suspect that he has been 'bailed out' for a long while by those who saw that such an incompetent narcissist could be easily managed if they could assist him in his wish to be seen as a successful businessman..

The nitty gritty of the Trump tax revelations may be of a surprise in themselves, but their coming out into the open should not.
As with the Cambridge analytics revelations, all of this was bound to be uncovered at some point - and it could even be said that the likes of Trump, Johnson, Farage etc are victims
Victims of their own stupidity and greed, who have been used through their willingness to spout all manner of fraudulent nonsense to aid their path to 'success'. They are the small/men. The ones chosen to front up what is a grave threat to our democracy.
I don't doubt they, and others, will be exposed as willing conniving in this activity and will be punished in varying degrees. But the real problem lies not with them, or even the supposed shadowy figures behind this - but the assorted numpties both here and in the US who refuse to see any wrong and are happy in being fleeced and cheated.

The problem is that too many people over here believe the American Dream. They don't want to punish the rich too much because they genuinely believe that one day they'll be rich too.
When a certain type of person hears that Trump has paid only $750 in taxes they think he's smart, because that is what they'd do too if they were rich. The part they forget is that people like Trump have rigged the system so that they'll never even be comfortable, let alone rich. | |
